Terms of Service
Last updated: April 07, 2026
1. General Provisions and Service Description
Minder is an online platform that facilitates the connection between mental health professionals ('Professionals') and individuals seeking psychological support ('Clients').
Important: Minder is a facilitator and marketplace. We are NOT a medical or mental health provider. The platform provides the technical infrastructure for discovery, booking, and secure communication, but does not provide clinical services itself.
2. User Responsibilities
By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and profile setup.
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
- Ensure you have the necessary technical equipment (stable internet, camera, microphone) required for video sessions.
- Respect the professional nature of the service and adhere to community guidelines in our public forums.
3. Professional Standards and Verification
All Professionals on Minder are independent contractors, not employees of the platform. Professionals agree to:
- Adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethics Code or equivalent local professional standards.
- Submit valid educational and professional certifications for verification by our staff.
- Maintain their own professional liability insurance and tax obligations.
Minder reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Professional account if submitted documents are found to be fraudulent or if ethical standards are breached.
4. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations
Pricing: Professionals set their own rates, which are displayed on their public profiles. Minder may charge a platform commission on transactions.
Payments: Fees are charged immediately upon the Professional's confirmation of an appointment. If a payment fails, the appointment will be automatically unconfirmed.
Cancellation Policy: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling or cancellation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are not eligible for a refund, unless explicitly authorized by the Professional.
Professional No-Show: If a Professional fails to attend a confirmed session or provides less than 24 hours' notice for a change, the Client's payment will be credited toward their next session.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minder shall not be liable for:
- The outcomes, progress, or quality of consultations provided by Professionals.
- The conduct, actions, or omissions of any user (Client or Professional) on the platform.
- Service interruptions caused by technical failures beyond our reasonable control.
EMERGENCY: Minder is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or thoughts of self-harm, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
6. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia.
In the event of a dispute, users agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiations. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be settled in the courts of general jurisdiction in the Republic of Armenia.
7. Community Forums and Popups
Users participating in Minder Community forums must read and acknowledge educational popups. We reserve the right to moderate and remove content that is harmful, harassing, or violates the safety of our members.
