How Minder checks professionals and guides

Joining a therapist marketplace is a practice decision. A directory can make your work easier to discover, but visibility alone does not tell you how a client reaches you, what you pay, or which information becomes public. Before you register on any platform in Armenia, use a short due-diligence checklist. You should be able to explain the arrangement to a client and to yourself.

1. Look at the public profile a client will actually see

Open the marketplace as a visitor. Search by the concerns, language and session format you intend to offer. Can clients compare practitioners without relying on unverifiable claims? Check whether your qualifications, therapeutic approach, fee, session length and availability have a place on the profile. A polished photo is helpful, but clear service information matters more than slogans.

Write a profile from the client’s point of view: who you work with, what happens in a first meeting and how someone can contact or book you. The Minder profile-writing checklist offers a practical draft structure. Avoid promising specific outcomes or claiming expertise you cannot substantiate.

2. Ask what verification means

Find out what documents the platform asks for, who reviews them and what “verified” communicates publicly. Verification of a submitted qualification is a limited check; it cannot replace your responsibility to practise within your competence. The BACP Ethical Framework is one professional reference on transparency, competence and client safety. It applies to BACP members in the UK, so it should not be presented as Armenian regulation.

On Minder, a new therapist profile stays private while essential setup and professional credential review are incomplete. A name and photo, specializations and working languages, a session fee and weekly availability are part of the publishing path. An introduction video, long biography and other enhancements can be added later. See the professional guide for the current setup route.

3. Trace the client journey and your own workload

  • Can a prospective client see the fee and a genuine appointment time before contacting you?
  • Is a booking instant or a request you must confirm?
  • Where do messages, intake information and session details appear, and who can access them?
  • What happens if a client cancels, needs a refund or cannot join an online session?
  • Can you block leave, adjust weekly hours and keep your in-person calendar from double-booking?

Try the journey on a public test page and read the platform’s terms before inviting real clients. Do not place clinical details into a test account or public profile. The availability guide gives a concrete way to assess the scheduling part.

4. Understand the business and data terms

Read the fee, payout, cancellation, complaint and exit sections of the actual agreement. Ask what records you can access or export if you leave, how long data is kept, and where privacy questions go. A marketplace can help with discovery and booking while you remain responsible for your professional conduct and client relationship. Start with Minder’s practitioner agreement and privacy policy; raise unclear terms before relying on the service.

5. Make a small, reversible start

Prepare one accurate profile, one affordable-to-deliver schedule and one clear fee. Check the public view after verification. Share the profile with a small existing audience if that fits your practice and consent arrangements, then note what clients ask that the page does not answer. Improve those answers before adding extra tools or broadening your availability.

For a wider setup plan, use the private-practice checklist. If Minder’s workflow fits your needs, create a professional account and complete the essential profile steps first. You can decide whether the optional practice features add value after the basics are working.

A marketplace is only one part of the daily workflow. Use the practice software comparison sheet to check intake, calendar, messaging and records alongside discovery.
