How Minder checks professionals and guides

Software for a psychology practice can mean a simple booking calendar, a clinic management system or a public directory with practitioner tools. Those products solve different problems. Begin with a real working day: how will someone find you, book a session, understand the fee and reschedule if needed? Who can access their information? Use the questions below to test any service before committing.

Separate discovery from administration

Ask whether new clients can find your professional profile, or whether the product only accepts bookings from people who already have your link. Both models can be useful. A directory may help people compare specializations, languages, qualifications and availability. A private booking tool may be enough when referrals already fill your schedule. Do not confuse listing exposure with a promise of clients.

Compare five questions, not feature lists

  • Client journey: Can a person see your scope, price, session format and next available time before contacting you?
  • Daily work: Can you edit working hours, manage cancellations, view appointment history and contact a client without copying information between tools?
  • Privacy: Which details are public, who can access intake and messages, and how are records retained or exported?
  • Commercial terms: Check subscription charges, commissions, payment handling, refunds and what happens if you leave.
  • Support: Test the actual interface in Armenian, Russian and English if your clients use all three.

The APA discussion of online therapy platforms recommends examining clinical autonomy, privacy, crisis expectations and workload boundaries. This is US professional guidance, not a certification of any Armenian product.

Run one realistic trial before committing

Create a test profile with no client information. Try changing a working day, switching a session length, previewing your public listing and following the booking journey on a phone. Ask support how duplicate bookings are prevented, how unavailable dates work and what data can be exported. If a tool cannot answer a common daily task clearly, add that to your comparison sheet.

For telehealth, ask about informed consent, private spaces, technical interruptions and cross-border work. The APA telepsychology guidelines offer a useful question set; your own legal and professional obligations still determine what is appropriate.

Match the tool to the practice you run

If referrals already fill your week, a private booking link may be sufficient. If you want new people to discover and compare your profile, inspect the public directory and the information it actually shows. If several practitioners share administration, evaluate team access and data export separately. No single product has to be the best fit for all three cases.

A 15-minute trial task

  1. Create a sample profile without real client data. On a phone, check how your name, qualifications, languages, fee and session format appear.
  2. Open one weekly working window, then change session length. Confirm the offered appointments fit inside it. The weekly scheduling guide shows how to calculate the window.
  3. Cancel a test booking and find the service's payment, refund and export terms. If they are unclear, ask support in writing.

Do not assume that “payment management” means automatic card checkout or a complete invoicing system. Check the provider's current terms and your own accounting obligations. Minder does not yet offer automatic card payments; practitioners and clients use the current agreed payment process.

Where Minder fits

Minder combines a discoverable therapist profile with availability, booking and practitioner workspace tools. It is not a replacement for every clinical record system, and a platform listing cannot establish that you are licensed to work in every jurisdiction. Before joining, read our marketplace selection checklist, then inspect the professional workflow. If it suits your practice, create a professional account and test your profile from a client’s point of view.
